Fix order problemsEven smart PC users are often confused about "cookies." Cookies are just sticky notes that your computer needs so it can remember that it has already logged in to PayPal from one screen to the next. Allowing cookies will not tell PayPal anything about you that they don't already know. Paypal sends a "session cookie" to your computer when you log in to your account. This is so Paypal doesn't need to ask you for your password on each page. Once you log out or close your browser, this cookie expires and no longer has any effect. Unfortunately, even if you have cookies enabled by default, Internet Explorer still refuses them when it can't find something it calls a Compact Privacy Policy. (Maybe it's just a coincidence that Microsoft was re-launching Microsoft Money™ when they introduced this "feature....") Here's how to fix that. Look for this mark, the eye with a red "NO" sign, at the bottom of your Internet Explorer window.
Double click on the eye symbol to open the "Privacy Report."
Select the PayPal item(s) and then click "Summary"
Select "Always allow this site to use cookies" and click OK. Now you are set to accept cookies from PayPal. |
